Floating Information
For a leisurely float trip in canoes plan on traveling about two miles per hour. You will likely want to factor in time for swimming, picnicking, fishing etc. Rafts move at a rate of about one mile per hour. We offer a variety of float trips for your enjoyment.

Our most popular floats involve a drop off at the beginning of the day with the float ending back at Gasconade Hills. The “ * ” trips involve leaving from our gravel bar and arranging pick-up when you arrive at your destination. Rental includes one-way transportation – either pick-up or drop-off.
Our floating rates include life vests, paddles, trash bags and portage between Gasconade Hills put-in or take-out spot.
For safety reasons, children under 2 years old will not be allowed to float.
Missouri State Laws…
No glass, beer bongs, kegs, gelatin shots or styrofoam coolers on Missouri State Rivers.
Children under the age of seven must wear a life jacket at all times while on board a watercraft. GHR has youth life jackets that can accommodate children from 30-50 lbs and 50-90 lbs. You may use your own coast guard approved life jacket if you wish.
The Gasconade River is patrolled by Missouri State Water Patrol!

Reservations & Deposits
We guarantee all reservations accompanied with deposit equal to 1/2 of the float rental. Without deposit requests are subject to availability at float time. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover & American Express. NO CHECKS ACCEPTED at the camp store. For group discounts to apply they must be collected and paid for as a group by the coordinator.
DEPOSITS less cancellation fees are refundable only if you make equipment changes and cancellations 7 DAYS BEFORE your float date. We do not refund deposits on last minute cancellations. RAIN CHECKS will be issued if it is raining at float time and is still raining at 12 noon preventing the float.
Everyone who floats MUST sign a waiver. Both sides of the waiver must be completed and signed for children under the age of 18. Completing your waivers ahead of time will speed your check-in on the morning of your float. Our waiver can be found HERE.

10 Mile trips leave our driveway at:
8:00 AM and 10:15 AM
6 Mile trips leave our driveway at:
9:00 AM, 11:30 AM and 12:30 AM
